Commercial Century Structures Now On BooneINCulture App
The SullivanMunce Cultural Center is pleased to announce the launch of Heart of the Village: Zionsville Business District Century Structures, a new self-guided walking tour available through the BooneINCulture app.
The tour highlights historic commercial buildings throughout Zionsville's Village that have served as centers of business, community life, and local culture for more than a century.
Visitors can explore the stories behind many of the structures that continue to define the character of downtown Zionsville today. Through historic photographs, architectural information, and engaging narratives, participants will learn about former town halls, theaters, drug stores, banks, hardware stores, restaurants, and other businesses that helped shape the community's development.
The new tour expands upon SullivanMunce Cultural Center's successful Century Structure Program and existing residential walking tours available on the BooneINCulture app. The commercial building tour was developed in partnership with Main Street Zionsville as part of an ongoing effort to preserve and share the history of the Village.
"These buildings are more than storefronts — they are living connections to the people, businesses, and events that helped create the Zionsville we know today," said Cynthia Young, Executive Director of the SullivanMunce Cultural Center. "By sharing their stories, we hope to inspire greater appreciation for our community's architectural heritage and the importance of preservation."

The tour is free and available year-round. Participants can explore at their own pace using their smartphone.
The BooneINCulture app includes one comprehensive tour of all Century Structures to date as well as several curated tours highlighting specific themes and neighborhoods throughout Zionsville.
