He has come to appreciate the aesthetic value of space and nature intermixed with the beauty of light. Much of his love of art has come from his father, Tom G. Seward Jr., who taught art at North Central High School. David followed in his father's footsteps and is currently an art teacher at Pike High School. David resides in Zionsville with his family.

Amy B. Carroll is an Indiana-based artist whose work captures the beauty of Midwest landscapes, florals, animals and whimsical subjects. Her art reflects a love for nature and storytelling, often blending realism with playful charm.

Joe Vondersaar has been creating fine art photography through Joe Vondersaar Photographs since 1991. A 2001 Indianapolis Arts Council Creative Renewal Fellowship recipient and multiple award winner, Joe is known for traditional landscape imagery presented in museum-grade archival prints, collected by individuals and institutions. An active member of the arts and art fair community, he also specializes in photography for charitable events and the cycling industry.

For over 20 years, Zionsville Artist Cindy Newcomer has created paintings of rich color and texture. Specializing in oil painting, she has taken workshops from nationally recognized artists around the United States to further hone her impressionistic technique.

Cindy finds interest in all subjects, but is heavily influenced by her travels and also water scenes from her family lake cottage. “I particularly enjoy the challenge of composition. Taking what is given and ‘rearranging it’ to better convey a feeling is a constant source of interest to me. Landscapes are probably my favorite subjects in which to explore this design concept.”

Originally from Anderson, Indiana, Cynthia Young developed a love of art and creativity from an early age. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior/Environmental Design from Ball State University, combining her design expertise with her passion for art. Her professional career has included leadership roles at the SullivanMunce Cultural Center, where she served as Art Center Director and Executive Director and played an active role in exhibitions, community engagement, and fundraising.

Cynthia’s own artistic practice is inspired by human experiences and the natural world, including the human figure, animals, and plants. Her work reflects a strong design sensibility, discerning use of color, and an organic creative process. Influenced by artists ranging from Degas and Da Vinci to contemporary artist Melinda Cootsana, she continues to refine her skills through experimentation and practice. Her public work includes a community-created elementary school mural and the Walking Man sculpture at Zionsville Town Hall. Her work has been exhibited in juried shows including the Minnetrista Annual Juried Art Show, the Indiana State Fair, and the Flava Fresh Series, and she was nominated for Hoosier Women Artists.

Scott Miller is a central-Indiana native, husband, father, art teacher, small business owner, novice gardener, and award-winning watercolor artist.

His artistic influences range from fellow Hoosier artist and friend Brian Gordy to world-renowned painters of the past like John Singer Sergeant, George Innis and Albert Bierstadt. Water, reflections, and scenes from nature are common themes in his paintings. If you have ever been on a hike and stopped to take a picture of a beautiful scene, that's the kind of moment Scott attempts to portray in his paintings.

Davis holds degrees in Fine Art and UI/UX Design, and integrates her design background into innovative projects, including an augmented reality app that deepens viewer engagement in art spaces. Her work is a call to awaken empathy, explore meaning, and step into the mystery with courage and curiosity.

Currently celebrating its 26th anniversary, local co-op gallery Art In Hand was created as a place where artistic talent could be nurtured. It was begun by a group of friends who wanted a place where artists could display and sell their work, and where they could share ideas and grow artistically. They wanted a hand in selling their work and wanted to meet their patrons and tell their stories.

Originally located on the north end of Main Street, the gallery moved to a more central spot just a year later, where it remains today, at 211 S. Main.

Sunny and airy, AlH currently has 24 central-Indiana artists and features jewelry, ceramics, glass, fiber, woodworking, and 2D work in various mediums. All artists are required to jury in, and then pay a membership fee and monthly rent to maintain membership. Each member takes turns clerking and is assigned tasks to maintain the space and daily operations.

Art IN Hand welcomes visitors who are looking for a special gift, art for their homes, or who just come to enjoy the atmosphere. Its success is not only based on maintaining artistic quality, but on member cooperation and the balancing of friendship and business interests. The gallery is proud to be part of the Zionsville community, and to be able to offer high-quality handmade work in an era where "Shop Local is a key component in maintaining an area's uniqueness.

Susan D. Brewer is an abstract expressionist artist who has operated her studio in the historic Stutz Building in downtown Indianapolis for 23 years. She is known for her large-format canvases, often measuring 7 to 8 feet, and also creates mixed-media works on paper. She accepts commissions designed specifically for commercial and residential spaces.

She serves as president of the Stutz Artists Association, Indianapolis’ original artist collective, which hosts monthly First Friday open studio events at the Stutz. Through her work and leadership, she remains deeply connected to Indianapolis’ vibrant arts community.

For Gallery On & Off Main, Art in Hand will feature 2 of their own artists; Judy DeGan, pottery and Dawn Michaelis, mixed media in relief. Their windows will be highlighting the work of these two artists. Judy will do a demo of carving techniques at 4 pm. Dawn will demonstrate her special techniques at 6 pm. In addition, Art in Hand will also have the work of the 25 coop members available for everyone to enjoy.

Fishers-based artist Pamela C. Newell grew up near Chicago and later lived in New England, where she earned her BFA from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.

Inspired by the masters and contemporary artists, she creates still life and landscape paintings in oil and soft pastel, drawing on her love of nature and experience as a Master Gardener. Her work, known for rich color, light and mood, has received national and regional recognition, including exhibitions with Oil Painters of America, the American Impressionist Society, the Hoosier Salon, Indiana Heritage Arts and the Richmond Art Museum.

Her work has been featured in books, corporate and private collections, and on HGTV’s Good Bones, and she has earned the Indiana Artisan designation. A sought-after instructor since 2006, Pamela also teaches workshops to artists throughout the region.
